Three boxes are labeled “Pawns,” “Knights,” and “Pawns & Knights.” Someone tampered with the labels and switched them around, so all three labels are now incorrect.

You are asked to put the labels back in the correct places. However, you are only allowed to put your hand into one box and take out one chess pieceو but you cannot look inside the box or feel what is inside.

Re-labeling the boxes would be difficult and expensive, so we cannot afford to do it.
