On Saturday, April 25, 2026, the 9th edition of the Young Innovators Lab Exhibition took place at the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, under the patronage of the Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Azmi Mahmoud Mahafzah, reflecting a growing national focus on innovation-driven learning.
This year, 25 young innovators aged 10 to 13 worked in six teams to develop and present six technical projects, offering creative, real-world solutions to real challenges. Throughout the year, participants engaged in a hands-on learning experience designed to help them think, learn, and innovate through practical challenges. They explored fields such as artificial intelligence, microcontrollers, coding, 3D design, scientific experimentation, electricity, and 3D printing—building a strong foundation of 21st-century skills, with a focus on learning how to learn.
The exhibition opened with a formal ceremony featuring remarks from Dr. Waleed Deeb, CEO of Thinking Oasis; and Mrs. Valentina Kassisieh, CEO of the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation.
Students took the stage to present their projects, walking the audience through each idea, how it started, the problem it addresses or the value it creates, and who it is designed for. They also shared their development process, how they integrated AI into their solutions, and how they envision these projects evolving in the future.
The exhibition welcomed a large number of visitors, who expressed strong admiration for both the quality of the projects and the clear growth in students’ skills and confidence.
As the Young Innovators Lab continues to grow, this 9th cycle reaffirmed its role in creating a learning environment where students are empowered to explore, create, and learn. More than an exhibition, it reflects a broader shift toward preparing a generation capable of making meaningful impact in a rapidly changing world.
